PSCCN is made up of King and Pierce County school districts, institutions of higher learning, community organizations, and state and local agencies. PSCCN coordinates closely with the following regional coalitions to integrate and align strategies:
Puget Sound Coalition for College and Career Readiness
Launched in 2010, the purpose of the Puget Sound Coalition for College and Career Readiness is to build a seamless transition from high school to college to career across the Puget Sound area. The coalition-members’ shared vision is to increase both the number and percentage of students that graduate from high school, enroll and persist in college and graduate from higher education able to secure a family wage job and/or career path. Coalition members include eight King County K-12 districts, seven community and technical colleges, the Puget Sound ESD, and other partner organizations and agencies. Pierce County Strong
Pierce County Strong is regional high school to college partnership committed to improving postsecondary readiness, enrollment, and completion through improvements in communication, data sharing, and systems coordination. With a focus on strengthening regional support for students of color and low-income students, members seek to close the postsecondary opportunity gap for students who have been historically underserved in public education.
